First post ever!

Aug 20, 2026

First post!… and I must confess I am not at all sure of what to write about. So, I will throw words aimlessly onto this glassy, shiny screen aaand… lets hope something comes up – preferably intelligible.

I’ve discovered Neocities this week, and it’s been so fun exploring the awesome websites people have built in here – at times I felt soo overwhelmed by how ingenious and creative internet folks can be! It does make me feel like I am back to the early 2000s when the internet was more than just scrolling the eternal DOOM feed full of AI-generated slop.

Out of FOMO, I had to create my own “webcorner” and publish it to the world. Of course, my content is FAAAR from being interesting to anyone but myself, however it has been such a fun building this – I am not exaggerating when I say I worked all-day-long looking forward to coming back and working on it.

There are still a bunch of features I want to implement in here:

  • Create my own banner/stamps/blinkers etc.
  • Include a section with neighbors (wondering if a galaxy-like thingy would look good)
  • List cool websites I’ve been to and that have inspired me (I need this ASAP, want a quick way of checking others’ pages regularly).
  • Create a special BRASSSIL corner with Portuguese content for my fellow brasileiros.
  • Add a games page somewhere with cool (maybe not so cool) games ideas I have.
  • Make many likely-minded friends along the way (not an implementation, but looking forward to it!)

Since it started, I haven’t been fond of AI or its terrible, sloppy content, so I’m not using it to create anything in this website (by AI, I mean generative AI, LLMs and stuff). As a developer, I think I get my “fair share” of AI every and all day at work, so I really want to get to do my own coding and art here – and this is part of the fun really!

About myself atm? It is a hot Thursday night, 10:50pm, and I should’ve gone to the gym about 1h ago. And, I am starving – hopefully, I got prepared food in the fridge.

That’s all! I will think of something better to write about next time.
